Following the various comments at recent meetings regarding speeding vehicles, may I assure fellow Councillors that the Speed Watch team in Buckley/Mold/Mynydd Isa area is very active. In fact we have been assured and complemented by North Wales Police (‘NWP’) that we are the most active group in North Wales.

Argoed remembered Armistice Day with a wonderful display by Mynydd Isa Scouts Group, still can be seen in Caffi Isa, and a lovely service in St Cecilia’s on a bright Sunday morning

St Cecilia’s is hosting another musical evening, with Bransby and Caffi Isa Community Choir as entertainment.  Tickets are £8, to include a ploughman’s dinner and there will be a licensed bar.

Come and join them for what promises to be a lovely evening on 23 November 2019 at Canolfan Isa!

 

Flintshire County Councils existing Waste Management Strategy was implemented in 2009 and covers a period of time up until 2025. This July we had a number of entries in the Best Kept Communities Competition 2019 and we are very pleased to say that the school garden at Mynydd Isa Junior School was placed third and Mynydd Isa itself was awarded first prize in its category.  Many thanks to all those who work hard …

Our 37th annual flower show was held in July, once again in the Community Centre Hall.

Admission was free to all and a steady flow of visitors came along to admire the blooms.

Most of the major honours went to local residents.

The club champion, for the exhibitor who gained the most points, was Ray Jones.
