According to the 2011 census the Argoed ward has a population of 5836, covering 4 distinct communities; Bryn y Baal, Llong, New Brighton and Mynydd Isa. There are a number of organisations that provide services to the area. This section provides a profile of these services, including health, education, leisure and community based organisations.

Community consultation about allotments and a community garden
The Community Council is seeking to gauge the interest of residents within the Argoed ward for an allotment and community garden. If you are a resident please contact the Clerk at Argoed Community Council to express your written interest. The Clerk can be contacted by emailing clerk@argoedcommunitycouncil.gov.uk. A Facebook group has also been created ‘Argoed Allotments and Community Gardens’.
